What a great looking piece. This is a beautiful bronze table medal that is 2-3/4ths inches across. The front of the medal has a view of Pike’s Peak with a tower at center and a passenger car being pushed by a steam engine on each side. The back side has raised lettering within an oakleaf wreath that reads "IN HONOR OF THE BRAVE MEN WHO VICTORIOUSLY DEFENDED THE UNION ON LAND AND SEA DURING THE WAR OF THE GREAT REBELLION 1861-1865.” Around the outer edge is "39TH NATIONAL ENCAMPMENT G.A.R. – DENVER SEPT. 1905.”. This one is in beautiful condition all the way around.
