.32 Caliber "American Bull Dog" Revolver with Eagle Pattern Grips

Here is a very nice looking gun from the late 1800's. This is the .32 caliber rimfire revolver that was made about 1880 to 1890. This is the style that was made by the firm of Iver Johnson of Fitchburg, Massachusetts. The 2.5 inch barrel is octagonal. Across the top of the barrel it reads "AMERICAN BULL DOG." According to Flayderman they only made about 3,900 of these guns from 1883-1897. At the end of the barrel it has the blade sight intact. The double action system of the mechanics are frozen in place with the hammer cocked back. It still retains traces of the original nickel plating on the metal parts. Another really cool thing about this gun is the handle. The handle has the original 2- piece brown hard plastic grips intact. Each side of the grip has the Eagle around the screw hole. This is a very nicely priced revolver with a lot of character.
