This is a beautiful reunion piece from the United Confederate Veterans reunion that was held in Macon, Georgia in 1912. It is a small stick pin made like a Bonnie Blue Confederate Flag. at the top it reads "DELEGATE" and in the single whiet star it has the image of Confederate general Clement Evans. Brigadier-General Clement Anselm Evans (February 25, 1833 – July 2, 1911) was a senior officer of the Confederate States Army who commanded infantry in the Eastern Theater of the American Civil War. Afterwards, he edited a 12-volume work on Confederate military history, so named, in 1899. Along the bottom, it has the Macon, Georgia location as well as the 1912 date. The stick pin measures 2-3/8ths inches in length and the flag is approximately 1-3/8ths by 2-1/8ths inches in size. On the back of the metal it has the original pin still attached and you can still read the small maker's mark of the Whitehead & Hoag Company. This is a wonderful piece in superb shape.
