Here is your chance to own a gun that is arguably the most desirable of all Civil War weapons. It is the desirable pistol known to collectors as the "LeMat" revolver. Colonel LeMat was the man that held the patent on this unique revolver. The gun has a pleasing lighter cleaned tone all over. These guns fire nine .42 caliber shots from the cylinder that works as a usual revolver. This one has the original cylinder intact. Under the main barrel it has a huge .63 caliber shotgun barrel for blasting buckshot. That was you last line of defense. The hammer has a pivoting striker that turns down to strike the nipple for the shotgun blast. This is the pattern known s the 2nd model that has the loading lever mounted on the left hand side of the barrel. The loading lever is the original one. Most of the time, these levers are replacements so it is nice that it is original. Across the top of the barrel you can still see the Colonel LeMat Patent Mark. It is the ornate third pattern of LeMat markings that reads "Col LeMat s.g.d.g. Paris". This one has the matching numbers on the major parts of "1772". These numbers are nice and in the middle of the production that went to over 2,400. The action of the gun works on all positions. This one also has the distinctive lanyard circle at the bottom of the grip. The 2 piece dark wood grips are present on the handle and they are a more modern replacement and it is priced accordingly. This gun just has a nice overall presentation and is a superb piece of Confederate firearms history.

Items can be shipped UPS or USPS Priority Mail. Tennessee residents must include 9.75% sales tax. All items are 100% GUARANTEED.
