This is a great looking piece of history from the United Confederate Veterans. The United Confederate Veterans were the organization made up of Confederate Survivors of the Civil War. They held reunion and erected monuments to the brave men that fought for the South during the Civil War. This medal was to commemorate the 1935 reunion of the U.C.V. that was held in Amarillo, Texas. The top medallion has the Confederate flag banner with the cannon and "AMRILLO 1935". The original pin is on the reverse of the top bar. The bottom medallion has the image of the Confederate General Stonewall Jackson with "UCV" and the enameled Confederate battleflag and "45th ANNUAL REUNION". On the back side of the bottom it has the correct maker's mark of the Green Duck Company of Chicago. The red and white ribbon has some fraying but it still displays well. This one is on the original paper card from the factory. This is an excellent medal for any collection.
