FRAMED! 1863 Confederate $1000 Bond With Customs House of Richmond Image
Click on an image to enlarge
This is an authentic 1863 dated Confederate States of America $1,000.00 savings bond. This is the beautiful style that has the vignette of the Old Custom House in Richmond, Virginia at the top. This one has the correct original 7 interest coupons attached at the bottom. When the date on the coupon arrived that is printed on the bottom of the coupon you could cash it in for your interest payment, if the Confederacy would have won. It has the correct ink signatures and numbered by the Confederate Government. This one is signed by the register of the Confederate Treasury Robert Tyler. Tyler was the son of the 10th President of the United States John Tyler. That always makes a neat thing to point out when you show the bond to your friends. This is the style listed as CR-130a in the Confederate bond book. It has been beautifully and archivally framed in a frame that measures 18 inches by 18 inches. It is ready for your relic room wall!
