Click on an image to enlarge
This is a beautiful original Civil War U.S. Belt & Buckle. This is the style with the brown buff leather belt. The piece is in great condition and has a lot of eye appeal. It has the golden color on the brass buckle face from the years it spent in storage. It also has the original brass length adjuster on the other end of the belt. On the back of the buckle it has excellent lead remaining and all three of the original arrow style hooks intact. These arrow style buckles were made by the famous firm of Young who was located in Newark, New Jersey. They would have been manufactured in the latter part of 1864. This is a fine looking piece worthy of a great display place in your collection.
