Here is a very cool looking Confederate cavalry saber! This is the pattern that is attributed to J. C. Wilson of Texas. This J. C. Wilson Confederate Sword has a great overall look. It has the blade that is 31-1/4th inch length blade that has a great ancient look all over like it spent 150 years in a Texas cabin. The blade has the curve with the single fuller going down each side. J. C. Wilson operated in Houston throughout the war and produced simple but beautiful swords with well-crafted brass handguards. The thick brass handguard has the multiple branches and this one still has fine curves. It has the large but unadorned quillion. On the handle of the sword it has the wooden core intact as well as most of the original leather wrapping, The wrapping is held in place using the heavy gauge double strand of brass wire. It has a gorgeous color all over. The brass pommel cap is intact with the blade and handguard having a little movement from the washer that has been gone for eons. Most Civil War Relics Collections are missing a Texas Confederate Sword so here is your chance.
