Click on an image to enlarge
Here is a great displaying sword! This sword would date from the late 1700 to early 1800's. This is a Continental D-guard style Cuttoe. These cuttoe swords are a shorted bladed sword and this one is configured more like a cutlass length. It has the original Bone Grip solidly intact and the original swept iron d-guard. Hilt has three parallel incised lines carved to bone grip.. This weapon has the full-length 25-1/2 inch blade and it measures 31 inches in overall length. It is crafted with a single edge straight point curved blade with 17 inch wide single off-center fullers to both sides. This one would look great carried by a regular sailor or even a pirate! What a cool look that is 200 years old.
