Here is a gorgeous looking framed soldier's memorial Lithograph. This one was made for Marshall Love who served with the Thirty-Ninth New Jersey Infantry. This Certificate Lithograph is beautifully engraved and hand-colored as you can see. This soldier's service certificate lithograph with the blanks filled in manuscript brown ink at center stating it was made for Marshall Love of Company K with the 39th Regiment of New Jersey Volunteer Infantry. The lithograph itself measures 21-1/2 inches by 27-1/2 inches in overall size. Along the bottom edge it states that it was Lithographed by The Pettibone Brothers. The bottom left imprint reads: "Published Expressly for the Army and Navy Record Co." Bottom right imprint reads: "Entered According to Act of Congress in the Year 1883 by the Pettibone Brothers Mfg. Company in the Office of Librarian of Congress at Washington." It records Marshall Love's tour of duty from his September 14, 1864 enlistment until his June 17, 1865 discharge. According to a copy of Love's service record, which is included with the lot, Love originally mustered into Company B of the 11th New Jersey Infantry on August 14, 1862 and was discharged for disability in June 1863. At bottom center the certificate records that it was "Presented by Conrade Love, to his wife, Elizabeth and Children William, Mary, Angeline, Mertie, James, Dora and Frank. February 1912". It is framed to the overall size of 24-1/2 inches by 30-1/2 inches in overall size. It has Loves' service records accompanying it. And on the back of the frame it has the sale advertisement where it was sold in Malaga, New Jersey in 2010. This is a gorgeous display for your relic room!
