Civil War Columbus, Georgia 25 Cent Note from the Palace Mills' Flour Mill

Here is a neat note that was issued from one of the South's largest flour mills. This one was issued from Columbus, Georgia by the Palace Mills. It was issued for the amount of 25 cents You can't read the date but most of them are dated October 25th 1861). These notes were printed on the backs of $2 and $3 unissued notes of the Manufacturers' and Mechanics' Bank of Columbus. It is well worn but still displays well. The note measures 5-1/2 inches by 2-3/8ths inches. It comes in an acid-free holder for display and preservation.
