Click on an image to enlarge
This is an attractive original Civil War era powder flask. The body has the sides that has the fluted design on each side of the brass body. The flask stands about 8-1/4th inches tall and is about 3-3/8ths inches across. The spout is present but the spring is missing in action. On the top it has the patent marking of G.W. Ingram. It is the version that is made without the hanging loops on the side. This is the pattern that is illustrated as figure #289 on page 284 in Ray Riling's book on powder flasks. It has a very attractive overall look!
