This is a beautifully designed authentic 1862 dated $2.00 bank note from Greensborough, Maryland. It was issued from the Farmers & Merchants Bank with the printed date of August 15th 1862. This is an attractive example of the variety with the misspelling, "GREENSROBOUGH" at center under the bank title. The central vignette is The Yarn, engraved by Luigi L. Delnoce and based on the work of artist Christian Schussele. It is nice displaying circulated condition and comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
