NEBRASKA! Beautiful City of Omaha $3.00 Note From 1857

Here is a gorgeous design on this note. This one was issued from Omaha City, Nebraska Territory . It was issued by the City of Omaha for the amount of $3. It has the ink date of issuance of September 1st, 1857. It is a gorgeous full color note engraved by Wellstood, Hay & Whiting in New York. In the lower left it has the gorgeous image of Liberty and Justice flanking a shield as ships travel in the distance at left and a train passes at right. A Native American preparing to launch a spear is at lower right. At upper left, a female head pops out of a "3" counter. This has micro-lettering in vermillion with a darker shade on the die at top right and the outline of the very large "3" protector. It is a beautiful original note in nice circulated condition. It comes in an acid-free holder for display and preservation.
