Here is a fine original Autograph of Confederate General William Stephen Walker (1822-1899). Walker was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on April 13th 1822. He served during the Mexican during the Mexican War where he was breveted for meritorious service. He started out the Civil War as a Lieutenant having duties in South Carolina and Georgia. On October 30th 1862 he was promoted to Brigadier General serving under Beauregard. He helped defend Richmond from Butler. At the battle of Bermuda Hundred, he was severely wounded by the 67th Ohio Infantry. He was expected to die but survived with losing his leg. After the War, he returned to Georgia, dying in Atlanta on June 7th 1899. The autograph is accompanied by a printed biography of his service as well as a modern Xerox image of the General. The paper that the autograph is on measures 2-3/4ths inches by 3/4ths inches in overall size. It is ready to hang on the wall of your relic room.
