This is a neat piece of Civil War money. It is an original 5 cent bank note from The County of Brunswick in Virginia. It was issued from Lawrenceville, in the County of Brunswick Virginia and is so marked along the top edge. In the center of the note it has the "FIVE CENTS" denomination. The note is
smaller and measures 5-1/2 inches by 2-3/8th inches in size. It has the printed
issuance date of March 29th 1862 in the center of the note. The
note is in well circulated condition. It is correctly hand signed and numbered. It is printed on extremely thin paper so it is a wonder that any of them survived. The note comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
