WONDERFUL! Scarce Model 1841 Hall Breech-Loading Percussion Rifle
Click on an image to enlarge
Here is a very tough to find gun and this one is a beauty! This is the gun that is officially known as the Model 1841 Hall Patent Breech Loading rifle. Upon 1st glance it is easy to overlook this gun because it looks like the regular model 1819 Hall rifle. This one is much more scarce. The model 1819 rifles were produced in the flintlock system, these were made as percussion. They made almost 20,000 of the 1819 guns but there were only 4,213 of these model 1841s produced. They fore the .52 caliber bullets from the 32-5/8ths inch barrel. Inside the barrel it has excellent original rifling remaining. The guns have the "Fish Tail" pattern lever in front of the triggerguard that was used to raise the block up. The mechanics of this gun work well on all positions. On the top of the block, it has the crisp maker marking of the Harpers Ferry Arsenal as well as the 1841 production date. These model 1841s no longer have the Hall marking on the block. The stock of this gun has a gorgeous look to the 1-piece walnut wood. On the underside of the gun, it has both of the original sling swivels. In the channel under the barrel, it has the original ramrod in fine shape. In my 30+ years in the business, this is the first one of these guns that I have been able to offer. Don't miss this beauty!THIS ITEM IS FEATURED ON OUR SHILOHRELICS YOUTUBE CHANNEL. HERE IS A LINK SO YOU CAN SEE WHY WE THOUGHT IT WAS NEAT ENOUGH FOR A VIDEO:HALL RIFLE
