Nice Clear Union Soldier CDV Image in a Fine Gutta Percha Case

This is a nice original Civil War image! It is a fine original Civil War trimmed CDV image of a soldier. This the smaller size that measures approximately 1-1/4th inches across. It was trimmed and put inside of the brass matt. This one shows the shoulders-up view of a Union soldier in uniform. The coat is the style pattern that was worn by the officers that fought the War. You can see the golden color on his shoulder straps that let us know he served with the cavalry branch of service. This soldier has added a picture of him later in life to the other side of the case. It comes in a nice original circular gutta percha style hard rubber case. The case is the style that unscrews when you want to view it. That has what has kept it in such fine condition all of these years. The outside of the case has the beautiful geometric pattern design.
