Indian War & Later Soldier's Belt Buckles in Excavated & Non-Excavated Condition
Fine Non-Excavated Script Style New York Belt Buckle Circa 1900

This is a fine looking Belt Buckle from about 1900. This is the pattern that is illustrated on page #515 of the O'Donnell and Campbell buckle book as figure #888. It is the stamped brass belt buckle with the script style "SNY" in center of the plate with the border around the edge. It has the plain pattern background. On the back of the buckle it has the original applied tongue and belt loop bar. It even has the original loop from the other side of the belt remaining. The buckle is on a fine looking leather belt and it has the one brass slide hanger remaining. The buckle has the stamping from the Rock Island Arsenal as well as the 1903 production date. This is a fine non-Dug New York State belt buckle.
