Authentic Confederate Manufactured or Used Swords and Firearms of the Civil War
Original Confederate Leather Holster for a Colt Style Revolver
Click on an image to enlarge
Here is a piece that you seldom see offered for sale. It is an original Confederate holster for a Colt style revolver. It is big enough for a .44 Army but would still look spectacular with a Griswold or Leech and Rigdon Confederate revolver tucked inside. A regular Colt made model 1851 or 1860 revolver will also display nicely beside your gun. The side seam has been glued together so I didn't put anything in it to keep from breaking the seam. It is priced accordingly and will still look nice beside your gun. It is superbly crafted with the leather slide closure and without the finial style closure system to the flap. The full flap is intact and the leather is still nice and pliable. On the back of the holster it has the original belt loop still present. The bottom of the holster has the stitching open. This is a nicely priced original Confederate holster. This fine piece of history came from the museum-like personal collection of Mathew Woodburn.
