Beautiful Original 7-Shot American Standard Revolver By Manhattan
Click on an image to enlarge

Here is a very attractive.22 caliber seven shot revolver. This one was made by the American Standard Tool Company in Newark, New Jersey. This is the company that took over the company known as the Manhattan Firearms Company. It has the maker's marking along the top of the barrel. The underside of the barrel is serial numbered 21,190, which is in the middle of their 40,000 production run. Flayderman states that these were made 1868 until 1873. The cylinder still has a small amount of the original engraving scene still visible. The action works on all positions. The frame of the gun is made of brass and it a honey color to the brass which gives the overall look a very pleasing quality. It has a fine amount of the original silver intact. On the handle of the gun it has the original grips still nicely intact with a beautiful look. The grips are made of nice 2-piece walnut wood. This is a fine looking revolver for your relic room.
