"PREMIUM PAPER" 1862 Dated State of Arkansas $10 With Sam Adams & Slave Scene

This is a very desirable Civil War date note with an interesting design. This is the $10 note issued by the State of Arkansas. It is correctly hand dated February 13th 1862 in fine old brown ink. On the left hand side it has the barefoot slave carrying a basket of cotton. In the center of the note it has the image of Samuel Adams. At the bottom of the note it has the small dog lying down beside the date. On the back of the note there is no printing just as it should be. The note is correctly hand signed and numbered. The overall size of the note is 7 inches by 3 inches. This note was professionally graded by the PCGS Company and they rated it as being "Very Fine" and it notes that it was "PPQ". This means that it was printed on paper that was Premium Paper Quality. It was also out of the famous Eric P. Newman collection. The note comes in their acid free holder for preservation.
