Civil War & Earlier Soldier's Belt Buckles in Excavated & Non-E
Authentic American Artifacts From The Indian War to Spanish American War Timeframe
Original Belt for the Model 1872 Pattern Belt Buckle
Click on an image to enlarge
This is an original leather and brass belt for the rectangular model 1872 style belt buckle. We know it is post Civil War because of the rounded length adjuster hook. It has the brass keeper intact and should fit the 1872 pattern buckle that will have the "US" in the center or the state version either one. They are usually hand fitted so don't expect it to just drop right in. The leather has the wear as you see and some flaking but it is listed at a good price.
