What a great artifact! This is a wonderful original very early 1700's German Flintlock Hunting Sword Pistol In Fine Untouched Condition. So when you head out in the woods and your gun isn't enough, you have the sword blade as a last line of defense. This one is all original and complete. The sword pistol has fine untouched metal throughout. The sword blade is marked with a crescent moon and three stars on both sides. The iron shield is fully engraved with a hunter holding his horn, and early flint rifle, standing by a tree along with his dog. The name "MAEYNZ" is engraved on the upper right side of the shield. The pommel top and stag grip are also original with a very pleasing look. It has the trigger from the flintlock inside of the single brand of the sword guard. The flintlock pistol on the sword is also in fine condition. It has a cannon design end to the barrel and an engraved hammer. There is a deer and trees engraved on the top of the block that is behind the barrel with the touch hole in it. The pistol mechanics still cat on all positions. The entire sword measures 26 inched long with the false edge the measures 8 inches along the top side. The cannon barrel pistol on it measures 5 1/2 inches in length from the trigger to the end of the barrel. This one has a fantastic look and will definitely stand out when you take your friends into your relic room!
