Here is a very cool piece that you very seldom see offered for sale by itself. It is an original black leather shoulder sling for a sword. This is the version that was made to hold the Non-Commissioned officer's sword and scabbard. These would also fit the Civil War musician's sword. The leather is still pliable and is in wonderful condition. It has the sewn frog style hanger. The leather is still nice and pliable and as you can see it displays quite well. It has the scarce 3 hook shoulder belt plate that also acts to adjust the length of the leather strap. It has all three of the original double twist iron wire hooks intact.
