Here is a button that you don't see offered very often! It is an original early 1-piece U.S. naval coat button. This is the pattern that is listed as the NA67B in Albert's button book. It has the Union eagle in the center of the button with the anchor down below. Around the edge of the button it has the 16 stars on the lined background. The brass button has a superb amount of the original gold gilding intact. On the reverse of the button it has the "TREBLE GILT STANDd COLOUR" backmark with "I.S. & Co." near the shank still visible. The shank is solidly intact as you can see. This is a scarce version 1-piece navy button from about the 1820's to 1830's.
