This is a rare version of the Confederate made ' Gardner pattern bullet. This is the style pictured as figure #168 in McKee & Mason's Bullet book. It has a fine look and whitish patina. This is the scarce large size .69 caliber version of the purely Confederate Gardner bullet. This one has two nice display sides. This bullet was excavated years in the area of Atlanta, Georgia on private property. You don't see these offered very often these days, especially this nice. It will enhance any Civil War artifact collection.
