This is a great looking little gun! It is a brass barreled single shot flintlock pistol made in England. This is the pattern that would have been made about 1790 or so. The overall length of the gun is 11 inches and 5-1/2 of those inches are the barrel. It fires a single shot of about .55 caliber. As you can see the barrel is the style with the reinforcement rings at the muzzle with a design similar to that of a cannon barrel. The metal parts of the gun have a pleasing dark golden tone all over. The gun is in the original flintlock configuration and the action is complete and in fine working order. The side of the frame has the draped flag designs on one side and the other side has the maker marking of "THOMAS". The wood on the gun has a beautiful look with a furniture grade grain all over. This is a great looking and complete late 1700's flintlock.
