Original Non-Dug Civil War Confederate Cavalry Lined "C" Coat Button CS127

I love the look of this button! It has the tone like it just spent 150 years in the veteran's attic! This is a fine looking original non-excavated coat size Confederate cavalry button. This is the style listed as CS127 in Albert's book and CSC203a2 in Tice's Book. These are referred to by collectors as the "Lined C" because the block style "C" on the face of the button has lines across it. It has fine detail to the face of the button with the "C' showing up very clearly. On the back of the button it has the original back and shank intact. This is the version that that has the "SUPERIOR QUALITY" backmark so it could be sold by any retailer without advertising for the actual maker. It is believed that the actual maker was probably Smith, Kemp & Wright. This is a great looking Confederate cavalry button that is nice enough for any collection.
