This is a cool looking early flintlock pistol. This is a British made Flintlock Pistol by Hampton & Sons. It is designed to fire a single round ball of .65 caliber. It has the full-length 7-1/8th in barrel length. The metal parts were finished in the bright finish with brass triggerguard and furnishings set in pinned - piece walnut stock. The grips are crafted with the round wooden grip pommel. This flintlock pistol features and octagonal barrel with the waterproof pan and roller frizzen spring. The lockplate has the wheat chaff engraving with the sunburst behind pans and single line border engraving. It sports a pineapple finial and floral engraving on the brass triggerguard. In front of the hammer, the lockplate is signed "HAMPTON/& SON". At the breech of the barrel, it has the vividly clear Birmingham proof marks to the left barrel flat. One thing that is cool about this gun is that it has the belt hook on the counterpane so they could be carried without needing a holster. In the4 channel under the barrel, it has the wooden ramrod with the polished horn head. This gun is manufactured by gunmaker Thomas Hampton, who was active in Birmingham from 1807 until his death in 1824. Hampton manufactured an assortment of arms including martial and hunting weapons. In particular he advertised himself as, "manufacturer of arms to His Majesty's Honourable Board of Ordnance, and of all kinds of fine fowling pieces, guns & pistols for exportation." Items can be shipped UPS or USPS Priority Mail. Tennessee residents must include 9.75% sales tax. All items are 100% GUARANTEED. If for any reason you are unhappy with the relic just return it UNALTERED within 5 days for a refund minus shipping charges and restocking fee of 6%. Layaways can be arranged on items over $100. Layaway terms are; 1/3 down and 1/3 in 30 days with balance due in full in 60 days. Due to time factors there are no refunds or price discounts on layaways.
