Click on an image to enlarge
This is a nice non-excavated cartridge. it is the metallic cartridge that is illustrated in Logan's Cartridge book on page #67. It is the .41 caliber cartridge for the Swiss bolt action 12 shot rifle. This gun was the official Swiss Army rifle from 1869 until 1882. This is one of the first styles of cartridge for the bolt action rifles and you can see the early "H" marking of Henry on the bottom of the casing. This one is very nice.
