Here is a great looking autograph of Confederate Postmaster General J.H. Reagan (1818 -1905). Reagan moved from Tennessee to Texas in 1839. He was elected to the Confederate Provisional Congress but then agreed to serve as the Confederate Postmaster General. He was very loyal to Confederate President Jefferson Davis and when Davis was captured, Reagan was the only cabinet member still by his side. After the Civil War, he stayed in politics serving as a member of the U.S. Senate. John Reagan was also the last surviving member of the Confederate cabinet. The autograph is beautifully framed and matted in a wooden
frame that measures 14 inches by 12-1/2 inches in overall size. It also has a printed
biography of his service. The paper that the autograph is on measures 3 inches by 2 inches in the matting. Below his image he adds the notation of "Texas". It is ready to hang on the wall of your relic room.
