Original Pack of .44 Caliber Cartridges for the Colt Patent Revolver

Here is a neat original pack of cartridges for the .44 caliber colt revolvers. These would fire out of any Colt or other maker revolver that was .44 caliber including the Model 1860 Colt Army or the earlier Dragoon revolvers. This pack still has the six original cartridges inside of the package. The piece has the original label intact that states that it was manufactured of powder from the Hazard Powder Company in Hazardville, Connecticut. It proudly reads "6 Combustible Envelope / CARTRIDGES, / Made of Hazard's Powder / EXPRESSLY FOR COLT'S PATENT / Revolving Holster Pistol, / 44/100 inch Calibre, / WARRANTED SUPERIOR QUALITY." The label is still very clear with a separation along the right hand side. All of the cartridges are still inside though. These cartridges bring around $100 each these days but we didn't want to break them up. The package itself measures 2-3/4ths inches wide and is 1-1/2 inches tall. It isn't often that you see these cartridge packs that still have all of the cartridges present and this one still displays quite well.
