This was a very high quality piece when it was new. This sword would be from the Revolutionary War era and was made from about 1730 until about 1760. The hand guard and grip were made of finely crafted silver with a wonderful gray color to the metal that remains. On the pommel, it has the likeness of a drum on one side and a shoulder epaulet on the other. The grip of the sword has the original wrapped handle intact with the wire lost to the ages. This is a cool looking sword that is over 200 years old. It will make a wonderful Revolutionary War sword for your relic room especially for $495.
