This is an original dug cuff size 1815 period artillery corps button. It has the cannon on the front with the eagle perched on top of the barrel. Below the gun is a stack of cannonballs. Across the bottom of the button you can still read part of the "CORPS" wording. This one has the original shank on the back of the button. It has the remnants of the maker's marking still partially visible on the back of the button. You can see traces of the "LEAVENWORTH HAYDEN & SCOVILL" marking. This is the style listed as figure AY55av in Albert's button book.
