Here is a very neat letter from the middle of the Civil War. This 1 page folded letter is written to the Colt Firearms Company on September 30th 1863. The letter is being written from a Sergeant in the Ordnance Department of the Army of the Potomac. He is writing sending 50 cents and is requesting that they send that amount worth of "Sear Springs to fit your "navy and "army" revolvers." The letter is written in ancient brown ink. The paper measures 7-3/4th by 9-3/4ths inches with a single hole in one spot and some edge tears as you see in the images. A cool letter to Colt Firearms Company.
