This is an excellent reunion badge from the Grand Army of the Republic. The Grand Army of the Republic was the veteran's organization made up of Union veterans of the Civil War. This medal commemorates the reunion that was held in Newark, Ohio in 1933. The top bar has the original attachment pin on the reverse. Hanging from that bar is the ribbon with a celluloid image of Major General John L. Clem. The medallion itself has the reunion date and location as well as the "67th Annual Encampment" of the Ohio Department. It also has the ribbon statin it was worn by a Delegate so it would have been a soldier, not a civilian. It is a beautiful designed reunion badge in excellent shape.
