Civil War & Earlier Soldier's Belt Buckles in Excavated & Non-E
Buckles
Scarce Excavated Eagle Style 3-Hook N.C.O. Sword Belt Buckle With Hooks Intact
Click on an image to enlarge
This is the rare 3 hook plate that went on the shoulder sling for a Civil War non-commissioned officer or musician sword rig. This one has excellent lead in the back and all three of the original iron hooks are intact as well. These hooks are the style that has the iron wire hooks that are almost always missing in action. The face is in very nice condition and the eagle is clear as a bell. It was accompanied by a small note that says it was found in the Nashville, Tennessee area. These plates are tough to find and this one is complete and in very pleasing condition.
