Here is a very nice displaying newspaper from the Civil War. This one is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and entitled "The Press". This particular issue was printed on August 18th 1862. It is a nice large paper that measures 20 inches by 28 inches in overall size. This paper is complete and has lots of interesting articles including one that tells of The battle of Rappahannock Station in Virginia. The front page covers the report from General banks' Division at Slaughter Mountain which was better known as the Battle of Cedar mountain. In addition to the articles it has many advertisements for various products or services of the Civil War era.
