Flat Bottom German Silver Sykes Made Riling Pattern #1307 Powder Flask

This is an attractive original Civil War era powder flask. The body has the sides that has the flat bottom design on the body. The flask stands about 7 inches tall and is about 1-3/4ths inches across. The spout is present and the spring is fully functional. On the top it has the maker marking of the Sykes firm. It is the version that is made with the two hanging loops on the side. This is the pattern that is illustrated as figure #1307 on page 284 in Ray Riling's book on powder flasks. It has a very attractive overall look!
