Click on an image to enlarge
This is a neat piece of police historical memorabilia. This is and original pair of patented handcuffs. This set is the Iver Johnson Bean Patrolman Police Handcuffs model steel handcuffs with 1 long link, replacement key. They have the remnants of the markings of "IVER JOHNSON Co. BOSTON MA". Johnson is well known for having made firearms in the late 1800's. They are in beautiful condition and they have the replacement key as well. It shows that this pattern was first introduced about 1887 but these would have been made from then until the early 1900's. This set is from the personal collection of Mr. Forte. The last couple of images show the cover of his book and the page in the book showing this style of cuff. This set is in very fine shape for display.
