This is an original Civil War era CDV image of Civil War General U.S. Grant. It is a waist-up view of the general in a stately pose. The image shows the general in his uniform with his General insignia showing on his collar. On the bottom of the image it has the General's name printed in nice black ink. This is one of the versions that we printed without a photographer so they could be sold by many different retailers. It has a couple of small piece of tape on the reverse of the card. These ere quite popular during the Civil War since the people on the home front wanted to see what the famous people of the day looked like. This is a solid original Civil War Union General CDV image.
