This is a really cool newspaper. It is an original New York Tribune Newspaper dated March 21st 1864. The cover has the has the multiple articles about the the War news with a headline in the right hand corner of "FROM NORTH CAROLINA SUFFERINGS OF UNION PRISONERS" but notes that "NEWBERN STILL SAFE". The article states that the Confederacy was transferring prisoners from Richmond to Georgia and that two of them froze to death. The paper has multiple articles on the inside as well as some neat advertisements. What a great newspaper with wonderful content. The paper has the age and staining and wear and will look great when hanging on your wall. This one will look great framed up on your wall.
