Neat Excavated Gilded Sash Buckle From a Mississippi Campsite in Tennessee

Here is a cool little piece found in a campsite. This is a pretty excavated condition brass sash buckle. It is made of brass with a floral pattern on the face. There are traces of the gold in the protected areas of the designs on the face. On the reverse it has the original center bar intact with the brass loops still present. It measures 3-1/2 inches by 1-7/8ths inches in overall size. The verbal history that accompanied this piece was found in Mulbury, Tennessee campsite that was reportedly occupied by the 1st Mississippi. It is a neat excavated artifact.
