Robinson Made Non-Excavated 1-Piece Maine State "Star" Coat Button Like ME4
Click on an image to enlarge

Here is a great looking button! This is the button that was worn by the soldiers from the State of Maine. It is the pattern that was listed as figure ME4 in Albert's button book and as ME100e1 in Tice's button book. The face of the button has the large star design. Around the edge of the button it has 20 stars on an unadorned background. These are one piece buttons and this one is in excellent shape with the original shank nicely intact on the reverse. You can also read the fine backmark of the firm of R. & W. Robinson of Attleboro, Massachusetts. This is a great looking specimen all the way around.
