29th Massachusetts Infantry Payment Paper for Sylvanus Thomas from 1862

Here is an original payment paper for a soldier in the 29th Massachusetts Infantry. Sylvanus Thomas had served in the 29th Massachusetts and this is the document when he was discharged from the regiment on April 11th 1862. He was being discharged for disability and the paper show that the Government owed him $38.66. It is on pre-printed paper with the blanks filled in nicely with black ink. It measures 8 inches by 10 inches in overall size. It is accompanied by some printouts about Thomas, his service and that of the 29th Massachusetts.
