If you have always wanted a 100% authentic blacksmith made Confederate D-Guard Bowie Knife then here it is. This is a fantastic untouched original Confederate side knife. It measures 14-1/2 inches in overall length with the blade making up 9-1/2 of those inches. Many of the knives you see are too big for real fighting but this one could surely do some damage. The blade is hand forged and the blacksmith made a spear point style blade. The blade is 1-1/2 inches wide at the widest point. It has a wonderful color to the metal just as the rest of the knife retains. The hand guard of the knife is in the classic "D" pattern which is where they get their D-Guard name. This one has been used quite and displays beautifully. The original one piece wooden grip is intact and is held in place with three brass pins. This is a very special 100% authentic Confederate hand made D-guard Bowie knife.
