Autograph of Confederate General John Tyler Morgan From Alabama(1824 - 1907)

Here is a very bold signature of Confederate General John Tyler Morgan (1824 - 1907). Morgan was born in Athens, Tennessee on June 24th 1824.He was a lawyer in Alabama before the Civil War. At the outbreak of the War he enlisted as a private of the Cahaba Rifles. He rose to Lieutenant of the 5th Alabama Infantry. He resigned and recruited the 51st Alabama Partisan Rangers. He made the rank of Brigadier General on November 16th 1863. After the Civil War he was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1876 and served until he died on June 11th 1907. The autograph is accompanied by a printed biography of his service as well as a modern made image of the General. The paper that the autograph is on measures 4 inches by 2-3/8ths inches in overall size. He writes "John T. Morgan" in fine ink and adds "Alabama". It is a fine piece of history!
