Here is a very cool looking sword for the money! This is an original early 19th Century Lion's Head Pommel Cavalry Officers' Sword. This one could date from about 1800 up to about 1830. It measures 31-1/2 inches in overall length with the blade making up 26-1/4th of those inches. The blade is slightly curved blade with a single wide fuller running the entire length. It is crafted with simple but elegant brass hilt with single knucklebow, sporting a straight quillon with vertical langets and lion's head pommel. The lion has a very cool look with the fierce looking face. It has the original leather covered grip intact and you can see that the wire has been lost eons ago. One thing that makes this one special is that it is accompanied by the original leather scabbard with brass mounts and tip. The scabbard has been very nicely restored between the two mounts. This is a cool looking sword that has a classy lion pommel.
