Here is a tough to find Civil War bank note from Mississippi. This one was issued from Aberdeen, Mississippi by The Bank of Aberdeen for the amount of $3.00. It is hand dated in ink from April 30, 1862. In the center of the note, it has the image of the slaves picking cotton with the overseer watching down the tracks. The left hand side is missing part of the note. It is correctly hand signed and numbered. The note measures 6-3/4ths inches by 3 inches with the missing side piece. It comes in an acid-free holder for display and preservation.
